Fried Rice Mini Talks

The permutations of fried rice is infinite.
A collaboration between Art Social Haus and The Terroirists, we present to you the pilot instalment of Fried Rice Mini Talks on 23 January 2015. Fried Rice is a regular event where passionate speakers of diverse backgrounds and skills share knowledge and stories that you would not commonly think about. An exclusive selection of artisan wines by-the-glass will be available. The three topics and speakers for this month are:

- Sharing a Cuppa: How Coffee connects us Historically, Culturally and Economically
By Benjamin Quek, coffee roaster at Oriole

- Reasoning, decision making processes and the impact of jumping to conclusions
By Jenny Ng, co-founder of social enterprise Nannies On Wheels

- On Books and Reading: What Henny Penny, Cinderella, and Snow White taught me about life
By S P Hozy, writer of The Scarlet Macaw and several other books

For first time visitors, the naming of the buildings there can be a bit confusing. If you see 61,63,65, etc, you are in the wrong cluster. Cross over the small street Ubi Rd 1 and look for the sign POSH LIVING. We're in that building. If you coming from Tai Seng MRT, take Exit B and you need to get diagonally across, walk against the traffic on Airport Road and turn on your first right. Keep going straight and our building is on the left about 300m from Airport Road.
